Based on the popular PlayStation game, WILD ARMS is a futuristic western that follows the exploits of Sheyenne Rainstorm, a deadly 25 year-old gunslinger who inhabits the body of a 5 year-old. As this fact alone wouldn't draw attention to him, Sheyenne has also come into possession of ARMS, one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. In these episodes, Mirabelle finds herself with a suitor as an encounter with Count Ampire leads him to become obsessed with her. These two Laurel and Hardy films, made towards the end of their contracts with the Hal Roach Studio, are widely recognized as examples of the comedy duo`s greatest masterpieces. WAY OUT WEST (1937) follows the boys as they travel westward, on a mission to deliver a gold mine deed to it`s deceased owner`s daughter. Mary Roberts is the name of the heiress, but our heroes have never seen her before, and are easily duped by the nefarious saloon keeper, Mickey Finn (Laurel and Hardy regular James Finlayson) into thinking his wife Lola is Ms. Roberts. Once they realize their mistake, the boys try to break into the saloon to steal back the deed, resulting in some hilarious antics and a mule on the roof. Then, in BLOCK-HEADS (1938), Stan is discovered wandering the trenches 20 years after WWII; never having been informed of the cease-fire, he simply continued to carry out his orders. His old pal Ollie comes to collect him, mistaking him for an amputee and carrying him to the car before realizing his mistake. Ollie takes Stan home for dinner, which infuriates his wife, so she leaves them to their own devices, and the two initiate a remake of the scenario of their first talkie, UNACCUSTOMED AS WE ARE. Needless to say, they make a disaster of the kitchen, as well as a fast and furious string of classic gags.

French master Jean-Luc Godard's NOTRE MUSIQUE is a passionate, scathing indictment of war. Divided into three segments, the film boldly condemns the notion of war and the damage that it causes. The first segment, Hell, is a breathtaking visual montage that captures the cruelty and brutality of battle. Next comes Purgatory. Set in postwar, modern-day Sarajevo, this chapter of the film finds Godard at his most philosophical. Godard himself appears as a lecturer at a cultural conference, in which he points out, through a photographic presentation, the similarities between such seemingly opposite groups as the Israelis and Palestinians. Meanwhile, a young Israeli student (Sarah Adler) searches for answers of her own by taking photographs and interviewing various individuals about the concept of power. Another young woman, Olga (Nade Dieu), shows her disdain for the Israeli/Palestinian conflict by performing an act of defiance that leads to the film's third and final segment, Paradise, in which Olga finds herself on the other side of consciousness.NOTRE MUSIQUE is an expression of frustration with the violence in the world. The opening montage recalls Godard's experimental work from the 1970s, while the middle segment features the same literate, philosophical musings that have been with Godard since day one. Meanwhile, the closing vision of paradise brings to mind his audacious films from the late-1960s (WEEKEND, SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL).
