Angel and the Badman (DVD)
An old-fashioned Western with John Wayne at his best as a gunfighter who must choose between the girl he loves and his guns which always seem to attract trouble. When outlaw Quirt Evans (Wayne) is wounded during a bank robbery, he is taken in by a gentle Quaker family and nursed back to health by their lovely daughter Penelope Worth (Gail Russell). Quirt begins to rethink his violent lifestyle after falling in love with Penelope and being hounded by his rival Laredo Stevens (Bruce Cabot) and a laconic U.S. marshal named Wistful McClintlock (Harry Carey). With its excellent script, quirky characters, and a sweet-natured blend of comedy and action, ANGEL AND THE BADMAN is justly considered one of the best Westerns ever made.DVD Features:Region 1 encoding; keep case.

Bonanza - Dark Star (DVD)
BONANZA is a sprawling western television series about wealthy rancher Ben Cartwright and his three sons---Adam (Pernell Roberts), a two-fisted gunfighter with a penchant for design and engineering; Hoss (Dan Blocker), a huge and slightly dimwitted but good-hearted strongman in a big white ten-gallon hat; and Little Joe (Michael Landon, later of LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE), a young hothead always getting into trouble over women or disputes of any imaginable description with almost anybody. Like all 1950s TV western series leads, the Cartwrights were superb fistfighters, able to knock almost anyone unconscious with a single blow from either fist. Ben had the enviable advantage of having apparently been everywhere and done everything prior to settling down on his thousand-acre empire (the Ponderosa) outside Virginia City, Nevada, so he could always speak from an intimidating reservoir of experience. In Dark Star, when a gypsy chieftain (Hugo Haas) condemns one of his tribe's women to death for being a witch, a beautiful young woman (Susan Harrison) seeks sanctuary in the arms of Little Joe on the Ponderosa.DVD Features:Region 0Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Dolby Digital 2.0 - English

The John Wayne Story: The Early Years (DVD)
The actor John Wayne was one of the movie stars who first stretched the boundaries of stardom. The celluloid cowboy was more that a film actor--he was an American hero, a role model, and icon, and a political figure. This fascinating documentary tracks the Duke's early career, and includes footage of a fresh-faced and slender Wayne in some of his first films, from 1933's SAGEBRUSH TRAIL to 1949's SANDS OF IWO JIMA.DVD Features:Region 1Snap CaseFull Frame - 1.33
