When stubborn farmer, Dan Evans (Ven Heflin), attempts to bring wanted criminal, Ben Wade (Glenn Ford) to the authorities in Yuma and collect the reward, he's in for quite a challenge. Telly Savalas (KOJAK) stars as Vince Carden, a Wild West landowner with a violent antipathy towards the Apaches, upon whom the government is about to bestow some nearby land. Vince and his thugs carry out a robbery and frame the Indians, engendering a war that the Cavalry is sent in to break up. Meanwhile, Vince`s brother Paul (George Maharis) rides into town, and the siblings resurrect a bitter rivalry of their own.

Great performances are delivered by all the players in this Western, which stars Chuck Connors as a thick-skinned buffalo hunter who years ago left his new bride, Jessie Trapp (Kathryn Hays), to make a fortune for her. Now he`s returning to find her again, but on his way is robbed by a violent bunch of marauders, and so undertakes a mission to find his attackers and mete out justice, all the while trying to win back the heart of his estranged wife.

A better-than-average Randy Scott Western gets a lift from old-hand Vidor. Ford's an outlaw trying to go straight after visiting his old friend Scott, now a lawman, and falling in love with a local gal. When the town's bank is robbed, the townspeople know who to suspect.
