The 2003/2004 Mavericks Surf Contest (DVD)
The Mavericks is an exceptionally active surf break in California, and the site of one of surfdom's most revered contests. When renowned surfer Jeff Clark, the first man to surf Mavericks by himself, decides that the waves are up to snuff for the annual contest, he puts the word out and the surfers show up to ride Mavericks' extraordinarily large and dangerous waves cascading out near sharp rocks. The 2003-2004 contest was filmed for this presentation, and Santa Cruz's Shawn Barney Barron endured a burst eardrum during one particularly problematic wipeout.DVD Features:Region (Unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Competitor Interviews Contest Image Gallery History of the Mavericks Surf Contest Scenes from Mavericks and Riding Giants Sponsor Links
