Tim O'Hara (Bill Bixby) is a Los Angeles news reporter in this landmark sitcom from the early 1960s. His life is turned upside down when he discovers a crashed spacecraft one night on his way home. Passing the Martian off as his Uncle Martin, Tim is now presented with the challenge of keeping his new friend's identity a secret; Martin's alien characteristics often manifest in powers gone awry, or in strange Martian illnesses that are difficult to explain away. He also is given to inventing strange gadgets and tools that wreak havoc on everyone who encounters them. The unlikely duo's nosy neighbor, Mrs. Lorelei Brown, doesn't make things any easier, as she and her family are constantly coming upon things they weren't supposed to see.
