Three's Company - Season Four (DVD)
The television series that made stars out of John Ritter (who was nominated for three Emmys) and Suzanne Somers, THREE'S COMPANY has been a mainstay of television, both during its initial run and in syndication, every since it first premiered. Its formula of slapstick comedy, racy double entendres, and comic misunderstandings is well-known to millions of viewers. SEASON FOUR collects all 25 episodes that aired during the 1979-1980 season, when the show was routinely number one or two in the ratings. This season was also the first with Don Knotts as landlord Ralph Furley, replacing the Ropers, who had been granted their own spin-off sitcom. THREE'S COMPANY was massively popular during its initial eight season run, and has since become a television landmark.DVD Features:Region 14 - Disc Box SetFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Audio Commentary - 1. The life of a dysfunctional English family provides the basis for this hit show from BBC America. Housewife Alison (Amanda Redman) is a lottery winner who keeps her winnings a closely guarded secret for fear that it will corrupt her family. Meanwhile, her husband (Peter Davidson) is embroiled in an affair, her eldest daughter disrupts the suburban idyl by becoming a lesbian, and her other daughter gets pregnant. It all adds up to a humorous poke at British life, illustrating that everything is not always as rosy as it seems behind the twitching suburban curtains.DVD Features:Region 1Boxed SetFull Frame - 1.33Text/Photo Galleries: Stills/Photos Filmographies

Cold Feet - The Complete Third Series (DVD)
The British drama COLD FEET enters its third series with more problems in store for its six leading characters. As Jenny (Fay Ripley) and Pete (John Thomson) face the music and decide to break up, Adam (James Nesbitt) and Rachel (Helen Baxendale) move in the opposite direction and talk about getting married. Meanwhile, David (Robert Bathurst) and Karen (Hermione Norris) face problems as David enters into a sordid affair shortly after Karen gives birth to twins. The show creates a successful formula by tempering the drama with moments of inspired comedy--the scenes between Nesbitt and Thomson`s characters are frequently played for laughs and provide a welcome respite from the relationship woes that dominate each episode. A hit on BBC America and in its native country, COLD FEET has often been compared to FRIENDS, although it delves far deeper into the motivations and actions of the characters and provides a grittier portrayal of life than the popular American sitcom. The third series of the show is included here in its entirety.

Titus - Season Three (DVD)
A unique and cutting-edge comedy, TITUS took the sitcom formula and twisted many of its fundamental elements. Comic Christopher Titus based the situations and characters on his real-life family and experiences, creating a television program that featured perhaps the most dysfunctional clan ever to hit the small screen. Chris`s father Ken is an abusive womanizer, his mother Juanita a murderous schizophrenic, and his brother Dave an imbecile. The only people keeping Chris sane are his girlfriend Erin and effeminate best friend Tommy. Particularly notable is the way that the program utilized Titus`s family as a means to explore topics normally too taboo for network comedies, and was able to de-fuse some criticism through its use of physical and sometimes sophomoric comedy. TITUS also took a step beyond most sitcoms with scenes that presented both Chris`s inner psychology and the everyday
reality
of his existence. TITUS: SEASON 3 contains the 21 episodes that conclude the series, and features such guests as Frankie Muniz and David Carradine.

Hunter - The Complete Third Season (DVD)
The creators of the action series THE A-TEAM scored an even bigger hit with HUNTER, one of the most popular television shows of the 1980s. Like a small-screen version of DIRTY HARRY, the show follows tough-guy police detective Hunter (played by former football star Fred Dryer), a believer in the philosophy of an eye for an eye. In an effort to curb his bad behavior, Hunter`s superiors team him with the beautiful and no-nonsense Dee Dee McCall (Stephanie Kramer), and the duo turn out to be the department`s most effective crime fighting team. HUNTER`s success depended on the chemistry between its two leads, and on hard-hitting action that stretched the boundaries of what could be shown on broadcast television at the time. HUNTER - THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON contains all 22 episodes of the show`s third season.

Roseanne: The Complete Second Season (DVD)
One of the major family sitcoms of the late 1980s/early 1990s, ROSEANNE became popular for its no-nonsense attitude and its humorously honest portrayal of American life. With a set resembling the living room of countless family homes across the United States, the show concerned itself the antics of its main star, Roseanne Barr (later Roseanne Arnold), her husband Dan (John Goodman), and their kids. More like a regular working-class family than any other characters before seen on television, the Illinois-bred Conners use brutal honesty and acerbic wit to raise their three children: rapidly maturing Becky, sarcastic Darlene, and precocious DJ. Meanwhile, they have to deal with the typical problems of an American family, such as putting up with annoying relatives, worrying about jobs and money, and struggling to find time for themselves. ROSEANNE was among the first shows on television to deal in a truthful and deglamorized way with everyday issues that average viewers could relate to--and it managed to remain funny and touching while doing so. The second season is presented here in its entirety.

Hunter: The Complete First Season (DVD)
Former football star Fred Dryer starred for many years as HUNTER, television's answer to DIRTY HARRY. Hunter is a renegade police detective who does anything it takes to bring down those criminals who prey on the innocent, provoking the ire of his superiors. They decide to team him with Dee Dee McCall, a beautiful female cop who's just as single minded and tough to get along with as Hunter himself. HUNTER combined hard-hitting action (many critics in the 1980s, while the show was initially broadcast, criticized its violence) with mispaired-buddy comedy reminiscent of the LETHAL WEAPON series. Created by Frank Lupo, who also conceived THE A-TEAM, HUNTER was one of the most popular television shows of the 1980s and one of the most successful cop shows of all time. THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON contains all 19 episodes, with guest stars such as John Amos, Dennis Franz, Brian Dennehy, and Ed O'Neill.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Boxed SetFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Interviews - 1. Errol Morris' First Person: The Complete Series 3 Pack (DVD)
Errol Morris is one of the most insightful documentarians to ever work within the genre, with his Ocar-winning film, THE FOG OF WAR, finally allowing him some deserved exposure to a mainstream audience. In 2000 he took a step into the world of television, producing an innovate series called FIRST PERSON. Morris's quest for innovation in his chosen field knows no bounds, so for this show he wheeled out his Interrotron camera, designed so that subjects have to keep constant eye contact with the somewhat intimidating director. The series of interviews he conducted make up the basis for the show, with the guest subjects offering some remarkable musings on topics such as the hunt for a giant squid; a mother's unique attempt to come to terms with her son's suicide; the devious activities of credit card companies; a potentially perilous encounter with the Unabomber; and many others.
