A television drama of the late 1980`s that followed the year-long tour of duty of a single platoon in the Vietnam War, the third season of this popular show continued its unflinching, gritty portrayal of the absurdities and brutalities of war, as well as the small comforts that remain. The Bravo Company is led by Lt. Myron Goldman (Steve McCaffrey), an inexperienced young officer eager to demonstrate his authority. Sgt. Zeke Anderson (Terence Knox) is the real backbone of the unit, a more mature soldier on his third tour of duty, who provides guidance and support for the younger men, many of whom are still teenagers. With excellent writing, superb performances by the ensemble cast, action that makes the most of a relatively small budget, and uncompromising subject matter, each character is seen to grow and evolve over the course of the season. In season three, war correspondent Alex sets off for Paris despite a budding romance, Lt. Purcell battles drug use, and the platoon faces daily run-ins with the enemy and the constant threat of violence.

Based on the hit 1980 film by Alan Parker, this show revolved around an ensemble cast of students who attend New York City`s High School for the Performing Arts. The students include the outspoken and ambitious Coco (Erica Gimpel), who in the first season competes against Lydia for a part in a show, and Doris (Valerie Landsburg), who features in the first episode as the shy new kid in school. Doris learns to come out of her shell, discovering her talents and her passion, and befriends the sensitive, gay Montgomery (P.R. Paul). Shy, quiet music student Bruno (Lee Curreri) falls in love with Kathleen, later to discover that she has multiple sclerosis, while comedian Danny (Carlo Imperato) has to deal with his father`s disapproval of his chosen profession.

Dennis Leary (JESUS' SON, ICE AGE) stars in the FX channel's dramedy RESCUE ME, playing Tommy Gavin, a New York firefighter under pressure from all sides.
