The Last Round: Chuvalo vs. Ali (DVD) The Last Round: Chuvalo vs. Ali (DVD) $16.68 » The Last Round: Chuvalo vs. Ali (DVD)

Joseph Blasioli's gripping documentary THE LAST ROUND chronicles the legendary bout between Muhammad Ali and a little-known Canadian boxer whom the Greatest dubbed the toughest man he ever fought. George Chuvalo was born to immigrant parents and raised in a working-class Toronto neighborhood but harbored lifelong dreams of becoming world champion. After devastating losses to Ernie Terrell and Floyd Patterson, Chuvalo was poised to fight Ali--who had public struggles of his own after converting to Islam and refusing the Vietnam draft--at Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens on March 29, 1966. Through archival footage and interviews with sportswriters Jimmy Breslin and Robert Lipsyte, boxing legend Bert Sugar, trainer Angelo Dundee, Ali's brother Rachman Ali, and Chuvalo himself, Blasioli recreates the dramatic events leading up to the almost mythic battle in which a working-class underdog stood up to a boxing Goliath for 15 rounds of unforgettable fighting.DVD Features:Region [unknown]Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Dolby Digital Stereo - EnglishInteractive Features: Scene Access Interactive MenusText/Photo Galleries: Biography _ 1. Fastpitch (DVD) Fastpitch (DVD) $16.68 » Fastpitch (DVD)

A 35 year-old New York artist, director Jeremy Spear longs for the athletic days of his college years. He finds the solution in joining a fastpitch softball league in Ashland, Ohio and the result is this spirited, humorous, human documentary about a once-mighty sport which is now only followed by diehard fans. Over the course of the turbulent 1996 season Spear's camera captures the adventures of his Ohio teammates as they make their way to the finals in Wisconsin and face millionaire manager Peter Porcelli and his flashy Tampa Smokers team. A good portion of the film is devoted to Shane Hunuhunu, a goodhearted and charismatic Maori fastpitch superstar who travels from New Zealand to the U.S. each year to play the game he loves. Also among the interesting characters the camera encounters are Canadian Indian Darren Zack, the game's best player, and the North Americans, a team made up of Native Americans who pride themselves on being drug and alcohol free. Spear's witty narration does a fine job of tying together what was undoubtedly many hours of footage into an entertaining, evenly-paced look at a little-known offshoot of America's pastime and the smalltown fans who keep the game alive.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Audio: Dolby Digital 2.0 - EnglishAdditional Release Material: Trailers - 1. A Super-8 documentary shot by Coan Nichols and Rick Charnosky, FRUIT OF THE VINE chronicles the directors' travels from California to Washington searching for empty, or near-empty, pools to skate. One of the most exciting and memorable college bowl games ever played is captured in 1984 BRIGHAM YOUNG VS. MICHIGAN. Containing the game in its entirety, the game ended with BYU`s very first national championship after an incredible come from behind win. Quarterback Robbie Bosco became a hero to BYU fans and alumni forever by rallying the team with less than five minutes in the fourth quarter even after being injured earlier in the game. This match-up was perhaps the most remarkable Holiday Bowl game ever played.

The Texas Longhorns thought they had it in the bag. Who wouldn't, being undefeated and number one in the nation? Coming up against the number five team, Notre Dame, perhaps they were a little too confident. About 20 minutes into this classic game, it is clear that Notre Dame has done their homework, as they take control of the ball six times and overpower the Longhorns with their unbelievable running power. Fighting Irish who score are Dave Reeve, Terry Eurick (who, unbelievably, scored twice within a couple of minutes), the incomparable Joe Montana, and Vagas Ferguson. This great game is accompanied by pre-game and post-game footage, including inspiring starting lineup intros by Don Criqui and an interview with Notre Dame's head coach Dan Devine.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33

1979 Cotton Bowl (DVD) 1979 Cotton Bowl (DVD) $16.1 » 1979 Cotton Bowl (DVD)

Affectionately dubbed the chicken soup game, the 1979 Cotton Bowl was played in freakishly low temperatures that covered Dallas in ice, and features collegiate Joe Montana suffering from the flue and hypothermia. Though he brings Notre Dame a 12-0 lead in the first quarter, Montana sits out for a while to nurse a bowl of chicken soup, and muster the strength to re-enter the game in the third quarter. The pressure is on, as the Houston Cougars have a remarkable lead at 34-12. The Cougars are so sure of victory they rest on their laurels and even send alternates to finish up the game. Big mistake. The next few incredible plays culminate in breathtaking triumph and lasts even to the very last second on the clock.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33
