In STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, the original crew of the Starship Enterprise from the 1960s TV show is reunited in this dramatic, full-length science fiction epic. Admiral James T. Kirk (William Shatner), formerly a captain, is called upon to collect his old crewmates in order to save humanity from a giant, hostile alien vessel steadily approaching Earth and destroying everything in its path. The complex alien life-forms apparently possess such an advanced intelligence that even the brilliant Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) fails to comprehend the massive structure that contains them. There is tension on the ship, as well as in the universe, as Commander Willard Decker (Stephen Collins), the Enterprise's new captain, is relegated to being Kirk's assistant. In addition, Dr. Leonard Bones McCoy (DeForest Kelley), the lovable, crotchety doctor who is constantly at odds with Spock, must be tricked away from his life of relaxation to serve on a voyage he wants no part of. It's not long before the Enterprise is taken over by the alien entity, and navigator Ilia (Persis Khambatta) is abducted. When she is returned to the Enterprise, she informs Kirk that unless the entity is united with its creator, it will destroy the Earth. With excellent special effects and witty nods to the old series, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE set a new standard in sci-fi films--and paved the way for a host of excellent sequels.

In STAR TREK: NEMESIS, based on the STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION television series, the USS Enterprise is gearing up for a challenging mission. While responding to a call from the Romulan neutral zone, the crew comes across a signal on the nearby planet Remus. It turns out to be Data's (Brent Spiner) less advanced brother, B-4 (also played by Spiner). Soon thereafter, Picard is confronted by Shinzon (Tom Hardy), who makes an offer of peace on behalf of the Romulans. As Starfleet enters into negotiations, they realize this treaty may have a twist. Shinzon presents himself as a clone of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), and as a simultaneous friend and foe. Though the baby faced Shinzon wears an intimidating shiny black metallic suit of armor, and spits his words through a nasty sneer, he is clearly no match for Picard. Meanwhile Data has a nifty side project debugging his clone, whose intentions are not as innocent as they may seem. As tension mounts between the crew of the Starship Enterprise and Shinzon's Reman minions, resulting in riveting high-tech deep-space battle, a vital sacrifice must be made to save the day. In this eerie science-fiction ghost story, an astrophysicist (Sam Neill), haunted by the memory of his wife`s suicide, joins a rescue mission to salvage his life`s work: the Event Horizon, a prototype spacecraft capable of faster-than-light travel that has been missing for seven years. Their arrival triggers contact with something beyond human experience--and more dangerous than ever imaginable. Similar in plot to Andrei Tarkovsky`s eponymous screen adaptation of Stanislaw Lem`s science-fiction novel SOLARIS, EVENT HORIZON provides some truly disturbing moments in its often potent combination of horror and sci-fi.

An intelligent horror film that is equal parts mathematical acumen and very realistic gore, CUBE ZERO is the third installment in the popular Canadian indie CUBE series. A prequel to the first, the central scheme is the same: a diverse group of individuals prone to infighting wake up in a booby trap-laden cube where one identical chamber leads to another. With no exit in sight, they are forced to get along and make use of their respective talents, but many--usually those with the most antagonistic personalities--are lost along the way. This installment, however, provides some answers the mystery of the Cube, with a subplot involving a technician on the
other side
who experiences a change of heart, and undertakes to save the group in a most unexpected way. An improvement on the last installment in the series, CUBE ZERO provides characters the audience can care about as well as some ingenious ways of killing off its bad guys.

In this labyrinthine sequel, the Immortal MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) saves the people of Earth from immanent ozone layer-related destruction by building a shield that deflects sunlight. But the people of Earth aren't especially grateful, as the constant state of night has made them cranky and prone to criminal sprees. Moreover, bounty hunters from the Immortals' home planet, Zeist, have given chase, and it could mean curtains for us all unless MacLeod and an ecologist can liberate the Earth and banish the assassins.Includes 19 additional minutes of footage.

With the ability to identify angels and demons as they exist on Earth, Constantine (Keanu Reeves) is tormented and set apart from other people. He is self destructive and angry, yet he does the right thing in protecting the citizens of Los Angeles from the dark forces that surround them.
