In Episode 63, The Empath, Kirk, Spock, and McCoy beam down to a strange planet to pick up personnel. They are abducted by a race called The Vians who torture Kirk and McCoy in order to test a beautiful Empath. In Episode 64, The Tholian Web, The Enterprise answers a distress call from the U.S.S. Defiant, but the entire crew is found dead. In Episode 79, Turnabout Intruder (the series' final episode), a scheming female scientist uses an ancient alien device to trade places with Kirk and take command of the Enterprise. Episode 99, The Cage, Kirk's predecessor Captain Pike (Jeffrey Hunter) attempts to rescue a crew from earth, but is imprisoned by aliens. This episode was reconstructed using black-and-white footage from Gene Roddenberry's workprint and color footage from The Menagerie (Episode 16). First aired March 23, 1967.EPISODE 28: The City on the Edge of Forever: Kirk must set history right after it is changed by a fluke, but in order to do so, he must allow the woman he loves (Joan Collins) to be killed.

Two Episodes: The Galileo Seven
(Episode 14): Spock and a shuttlecraft crew crash-land during an investigation of a quasar-like phenomenon. Later the High Commissioner forces Cpt. Kirk to end the search for Spock and his crew. Court Martial
(Episode 15): The ship`s computers indicate that one of Kirk`s decisions may have killed a crew member. Kirk has to face a court martial for negligence.
