Containing music videos for nine of their most popular songs, BANGLES- GREATEST HITS celebrates the accomplishments of one of the best female rock acts of the 1980s. Formed in 1981 in LA, the Bangles joined artists like the Go-Go's in helping pave the way for later female rock groups. The band created a West Coast blend of airy pop that centered on the electric guitar. The sound was energetic and fun, reflecting the mood of 60s pop acts like the Beatles, the Byrds, and the Mamas and the Papas.
