This production of Puccini's opera features conduction by Vladimir Jurowski and production by Annabel Arden. The staging really takes off as a result of its star, Allessandro Corbelli in the role of Gianni Schicci himself. Performed at the Glyndebourne Opera House, GIANNI SCHICCI showcases the wide-ranging skills of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Set in Dresden's open-air Theatre Square, GREAT STARS OF OPERA assembles some of the world's greatest opera singers for one amazing night filled with vocal talent. Performing to a crowd of over 15,000 people, singers such as Neil Shicoff, Cincenzo La Scola, Agnes Baltsa, and Anna Tomowa-Sintow present classic scenes from operas including La Traviata, Die Fledermaus, Tosca, and Carmen.

Mezzo Soprano Cecilia Bartoli continues her'Cecilia Sings' series with this set of performances from composer Franz Joseph Haydn. Every New Year's, the highlight in the classical music world is the annual concert given by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2003, the honor of conducting this special concert was handed to Nikolaus Harnoncourt, who admits that he was touched to receive this special invitation. The series GREAT PIANO CONCERTOS was produced in celebration of the 250th birthday of one of Western music`s most influential and gifted artists, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Each volume focuses on the concertos of a particular period in the genius composer`s career. This second episode compiles performances conducted by some of the premiere Mozart interpreters of the century, including Hedrun Holtmann and Andri Previn. Not only are these performances aurally pleasing, they are also a feast for the eyes, having been shot on the locations where Mozart lived and worked.

A veritable Who`s Who of European opera singers is assembled for this spectacular night of song, BERLIN OPERA NIGHT.
