The Ninth Symphony features notable solo turns from Christa Ludwig, Jess Thomas, Gundula Janowitz, and Walter Berry.

On this release, the prodigiously talented classical pianist Yundi Li performs works by Liszt and Chopin in a concert filmed in Baden-Baden, Germany in 2004. Li plays Liszt`s Sonata in B Minor, Chopin Scherzi Op. 20, 31, 39, and 54, and Chopin`s Nocturne, Op. 9, No. 2.

This remarkable staging of Giuseppe Verdi`s NABUCCO sees Juan Pons taking the role of Nabucco, with acclaimed soprano Maria Guleghina playing his adopted daughter, Abigaille. The Metropolitan Opera House provides a sumptuous backdrop for the four-act opera that made Verdi`s name, while conductor James Levine carefully guides the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus through the score.

Staring infamous tenor Placido Domingo, SAMSON ET DALILA tells the tale of Samson (played by Domingo), and his struggle to resist the temptress Delilah (played by Olga Borodina).
