For an audience including president of Italy Carlo Ciampi, Ricardo Muti (the musical director of another famous Italian opera house-La Scala) conducted several concerts in honor of the Teatro La Fenice's reopening. This program gathers some of Italy's foremost vocal talent, including sopranos Patrizia Ciofi and Sara Allegretta, Alto Sara Mingardo, and more.

This revival performance is actually a reconstruction of Pierre Lacotte's well-known 1972 version. In expressing Lacotte's (and Taglioni's) original choreography, Dupont and her male partner Mathieu Ganio recreate the style that defined the romantic ballet.
