The Giselle ballet was approximately 150 years old in 1976. So it was a fitting tribute to the production when the National Ballet of Canada took to the boards in that year for this lavish production. With Frank Augustyn and Karen Kain among the leads, this was a stunningly evocative rendition of the popular opera, which was thankfully captured on camera for posterity.
