Experimental electropop duo Blancmange, comprised of Neil Arthur and Steven Luscombe, was formed in Leeds in 1979. This 1982 concert at Manchester`s infamous Hacienda Club took place at the height of their success. The influential compilation SOME BIZARRE had just been released, which gave Blancmange their first major appearance alongside such heavyweights as Soft Cell and Depeche Mode. The group`s first hit, a cover of the Talking Heads song
Feel Me,

Waves.

Progressive British art rockers The Enid gained a large cult following soon after their inception in 1974, no small feat for a band of their ilk emerging at the height of the punk movement. At the helm was Robert John Godfrey, a talented musician who had attended the experimental Finchden Manor school and begun a promising career as a concert pianist before defecting to pursue the more obscure delights of prog rock. The Enid maintained a presence at the vanguard of underground rock during their various inceptions throughout the 1980s and 90s; this release features the band in two vastly different contexts, both in 1984, when the band was enjoying the unprecedented success of their album SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES (1983). The first was filmed at Claret Hall, their home and studio in 1984, during a weekend for fans who had attended a series of performances and workshops at the Hall. The second performance was filmed during the summer solstice at the legendary Stonehenge Free Festival in 1884, the last of its kind before being banned for 20 years.
