This double feature contains the following two star-studded romantic comedies. THE WEDDING DATE: Kat Ellis`s (Debra Messing) worst nightmare is about to come true. Not only is her younger, half-sister, Amy (Amy Adams), getting married before her, but to add insult to injury, the groom`s (Jack Davenport) best man is Kat`s ex-fiancie, Jeffrey (Jeremy Sheffield). Two years after being dumped, Kat is a single New Yorker and can`t bear to attend the festivities at her parent`s London home alone, so she does the next best thing: she hires an escort to play her boyfriend. Her rented date, Nick (Dermot Mulroney), fits the bill perfectly. He`s handsome, intelligent, well spoken, intuitive, and a perfect gentleman--a virtual bargain at $6,000. BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON: It would be difficult to top the phenomenal success of BRIDGET JONES` DIARY, but the sequel certainly pulls it off. Renie Zellweger once again breathes hilarious life into the flawed heroine who sent her career soaring. This installment of Bridget`s journal finds her dealing with the growing pains of a new relationship with Mark Darcy, her crush from the first film (stilted but passionate Colin Firth). Though wildly in love with him, Bridget, a TV producer, worries off and on that Mark and his stuffy attorney crowd may not be quite her cup of tea. When she attends an important law function as Mark`s date, she manages to embarrass herself and offend his snobby colleagues. To top it off, Mark`s gorgeous and willowy coworker Rebecca (Jacinda Barrett) seems to have a knack for showing up at just the wrong time. To further complicate matters, her cute and caddish former love Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) asks her to join him on-location in Thailand for a TV shoot--another chance at romance for Bridget Jones.

This double-feature contains two wild comedies for the whole family. In KICKING & SCREAMING, funny man Will Ferrell`s (OLD SCHOOL, SNL) humorous man-child antics meet actual kids on the soccer pitch. He plays vitamin salesman Phil Weston, a sensitive man easily capable of both crying and sewing, whose mild manners come under scrutiny by his tough-as-nails father (and soccer coach) Buck (Robert Duvall). Upon Phil`s begging to get his son more playing time, Buck trades his grandson to the last-place team, the Tigers. Not just any normal cellar-dwelling outfit, the Tigers feature a cast of lovable losers who prefer eating worms and telling jokes to playing soccer. When the Tigers` coach leaves, putting the season on the line, an inexperienced Phil steps in to helm his son`s new team. Fueled by a raging caffeine habit, Phil starts to overly obsess with beating Buck, losing sight of why he took the job in the first place--to be a better dad to his own son.DR. SEUSS` THE CAT IN THE HAT: This adaptation of the classic children`s book stars Mike Meyers (AUSTIN POWERS) as the wily talking cat with a tall striped hat and more than a few tricks up his sleeve. Set in a colorful make-believe world, the film tells the classic tale of a sister and brother, Sally (Dakota Fanning) and Conrad (Spencer Breslin), who pass a rainy afternoon with their crotchety baby sitter Mrs. Kwan (Amy Hill), during which they receive a visit from the mysterious Cat in the Hat, who leads them on a series of colorful, illogical, silly misadventures. Meanwhile their mother (Kelly Preston), her paranoid boss (Sean Hayes), and her phony boyfriend (Alec Baldwin), present obstacles for the children as they become part of the Cat`s chaotic world.

Conman James Coburn spends his time in prison figuring out how to win release and get to work on his next big job. Once on the outside, he plans to rob the bank at L.A. International airport. A troubled production history notwithstanding, BIG TROUBLE remains a lighthearted updating of the classic film noir DOUBLE INDEMNITY. Alan Arkin stars as Leonard Hoffman, an insurance salesman and father of triplets. When it becomes apparent that his dream of sending his three sons to Yale is financially impossible, opportunity presents itself in the form of Blanche (Beverly D'Angelo), sexy wife of Steve Rickey (Peter Falk), who convinces Leonard to trick her husband into signing an obscure life insurance plan that promises a huge payoff if he dies while falling from a train. After the mission is seemingly accomplished, Steve reappears, confusing matters, and thereby sending Leonard's life into an official tailspin. Director John Cassavetes's is credited as the director of BIG TROUBLE; he actually stepped in as a replacement. George Lester (Jerry Lewis), an American in England, schemes to get-rich-quick by renting out his English wife's ancestral manor as a discotheque. Australian director Jonathan Teplitzky's debut effort is a cleverly crafted and witty look at the intimacies and fears of two single twentysomethings who get more than they bargained for over the course of a three-night stand. Josh (David Wenham) and Cin (Susi Porter) meet at a party and while sharing a cab ride home decide to engage in a simple, uncomplicated one night stand. Since Josh is a Londoner in town for only a few days the sexually attracted pair don't have to worry about any expectations or strings attached, or do they? Set solely in the confines of Cin's bohemian loft Teplitzky recreates the story of the couple's sex-filled days using a variety of storytelling techniques, including flashback and voice-over dialogue as Josh and Cin retell their own story from their often wildly different perspectives. Albeit slightly stereotypical: she takes too long to get dressed while he leaves the toilet seat up in the bathroom, the frank musings of the two commitment phobes engages the viewer in a very realistic and heart-warming exploration of twentysomething relationships full of risks, fears, and meddling friends. (Cin and Josh's recreation of their own story is interspersed with a variety of vignettes in which close friends discuss their own relationships.) David Wenham and Susi Porter share an obvious chemistry that fuels their onscreen banter and sexual adventures with a refreshing spark.
