Buy A Touch Of Frost - Season 7& 8 (DVD)

Based on the novels by R.D. Wingfield, this long-running British crime drama features award-winning actor David Jason as tough detective Jack Frost. Frost is a man of unconventional methods and a gruff manner that often draw acrimony from suspects and fellow policemen alike. But no one can dispute the efficacy of Frost`s techniques. Also containing a good bit of humor, the series takes place in a fictitious, dreary town called Denton, and features solid writing and unflashy but thoroughly engaging acting. In season seven, Frost`s investigation into the murder of a crime squad detective makes for a rather bleak Christmas, especially when it becomes more and more likely that police corruption is behind the crime. Season eight features a local surgeon`s disappearance and a young woman with information about Frost`s past.

Rafe Esquith is a teacher who really did make a difference. Teaching in a decrepit Los Angeles neighborhood, Esquith took it upon himself to impart the works of Shakespeare to the kids who patrol the streets by night and reluctantly turn up to school by day. As this film shows, the results were remarkable, with the majority of the kids taking to the Bard like a duck to water, largely thanks to Esquith`s innovative teaching methods.
