VOLUME 12: SECRET WEAPON contains episodes 34-36 of the racing anime. In these episodes, Takumi is introduced to the Eighty-Six Turbo but is disappointed in it. However, Aki, the owner of the new car, believes it is his ticket to a winning streak.
