Precocious pioneers of the rockabilly sound, the Collins Kids were a pair of siblings from Oklahoma who travelled to LA in the early 1950s to make it big. Little brother Larry played the double-necked guitar with a hyperkinetic energy, delivering riffs he`d learned from his mentor Joe Maphis. Older sister Lorrie was a sensuous teenage heartthrob, and the pair were responsible for some of the best early rockabilly, while Larry is often credited with inventing surf guitar. Their appearances on the weekly television show TOWN HALL PARTY display the excitement and energy of early rock & roll, and collected here are almost all of their appearances on the show in 1959. The kids cover LaVern Baker`s
So High, So Low,
Lloyd Price`s

and a white-hot duet between Larry and Joe Maphis, titled
Mutt and Jeff Boogie.
