On her first day at work as the superintendent of a mine, Pat Bogan (Mimi Rogers) comes face-to-face with one of her worst fears. Along with her husband (Ted Shackelford), son, and four other miners, she gets stuck in a mining tunnel when a large piece of machinery breaks through a wall and causes a flood of freezing water.
