Stanley Baker stars in this Val Guest thriller as Police Inspector Harry Martineau, a tough cop with a jones for escaped American criminal Don Starling. Playing a hunch, Martineau goes to Manchester where he believes Starling will head to pull one last job before fleeing the country for good. When the job goes down, it goes bad and Starling ends up killing a young girl before he and his gang can head off with the money.
