Mauro (Maurizio Mattioli) is a 50-year-old nurse who lives an almost reclusive existence in Rome. When, in order to please his boss at the hospital, he agrees to escort a young orphan to the Swiss border so he can meet his adoptive parents, Mauro doesn`t quite realize what he`s signing on for. When a young, good-looking gangster named Rollo (Valerio Foglia Manzillo, THE EMBALMER) tags along for the ride, neither knows what to expect, but the two men soon discover they have more in common than they thought. Foremost in what they share is an affection for their young charge, whose aid they must come to when they realize the future that is in store for him.
